A DVD’s structure

The structure of a DVD containing a movie (DVD-Video) consists of two basic guidelines, which are all one in video streams (VIDEO_TS) and one containing audio streams (AUDIO_TS).
Director VIDEO_TS files include VOB, IFO and BUP. BUP files are a backup IFO sites.
DVD movies are segmented into several VOB files every 1GB each. Usually, VOB file contains audio streams for film and film subtitles also. Even if you use vhs to dvd the structure is the same
IFO files are the backbone of the logical structure of a DVD. (like a BIOS) and contains references to the film length, primary and secondary current subtitles, audio streams, angles of view, the operations allowed on objects in the film, start and end addresses of each element in the VOB files video, frames of the project PRC on geographical attributes of the subtitle color, film appearance, image format (NTSC or PAL) and many other information necessary for running a DVD.
